Meet the Heart Behind George’s House
George was, quite simply, the best dog in the world.
He was unbelievably sweet, endlessly happy, and loved nothing more than being cozy at home, surrounded by the people he loved. He was also a little quirky and goofy, always finding ways to make us laugh and keep us on our toes.
George brought more happiness into our lives than we could ever put into words, and loving him was one of our greatest joys.
After losing George, we found ourselves wanting to share that love with other dogs, even as we knew we weren't quite ready to welcome another dog of our own. What began as a conversation with a close friend eventually became the idea for George's House.
A place where we could open our home to other dogs and offer the same love, comfort, and companionship that meant so much to George.
While George may no longer be here to welcome our guests, his spirit is at the heart of everything we do. We can't imagine a more meaningful way to honor him than helping other dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
Meet Your Hosts
Hi, we're Brittany and Kevin! We're the husband-and-wife team behind George's House.
Our experience caring for George taught us that some dogs need a little extra patience, understanding, and reassurance. Throughout his life, George struggled with separation anxiety and various health challenges, particularly as he grew older. We learned to adapt to his needs, adjust our routines, and do whatever we could to keep him happy, healthy, and comfortable.
Those experiences shaped the way we approach caring for dogs. We understand that every dog is different, and we believe their care should reflect that.
Outside of George's House, Brittany owns a private therapy practice and Kevin works in real estate. Being self-employed gives us flexibility in our schedules, allowing us to thoughtfully plan our days around the dogs staying with us.
Our hope is to offer a safe, cozy, and loving place where dogs receive individualized attention and families can feel confident knowing their beloved companions are in caring hands.
Because while there's no place quite like home, we'd love for George's House to feel like the next best thing.
